Photos are taking forever to load preview in Lightroom on mac OS Catalina

My photos are taking forever to load the preview.  I've restarted my computer MAC OS to Catalina, done all the Adobe updates and the files were previously imported.  Any thoughts on the problem?

Sorry that images in Lightroom are taking forever to load a preview.

Which version of Lightroom are you using? When exactly is the preview not getting generated? While importing or in Library?

Does the problem occurs with a specific folder or set of images?

Also, would you mind sharing a screenshot if how the images looks like when a preview is not generated?
