If you Export to a JPG file-type then compression of the new file is to be expected and inevitable. That is the nature of the JPG format.

A 1.5MB JPG from a 10MB original would not be unusual.

The 'amount' of compression (that determines the resulting exported file size) is dependent on several things including- Your 'Quality' setting, the amount of detail in the image (cf. Foliage vs clear sky), and even if you are exporting a JPG from another JPG (already compressed)

Double-check your options in the Share/Export dialogs.

File size of a JPG image is not necessarily an indication of the image quality and content.
