Dear all,
I have recently changed my laptop. I've copied all my photos and my old catalog (LR Classic) to the new one and have been using the catalog without any problems. After importing some new photos I've noticed that I can't see the icon on the left of the catalog to sync the imported photos. After looking for the answer in the forum I imagine that Adobe is treating the catalog in the new computer as a new catalog and so not allowing me to sync from it. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

"I've copied all my photos and my old catalog (LR Classic) to the new one "
Copying catalog to another system will treat the catalog as a "new catalog".
"I've noticed that I can't see the icon on the left of the catalog to sync the imported photos."
The Cloud icon is no longer "on the left" (if you have a recent upgrade to LrC) but rather on the top-right corner with the Module Menu. (Press [F5] if the module menu is not visible.)
If you click the 'Cloud' icon, and Start Sync, you should get an error message to set the catalog as the current 'Sync' catalog. Choose "Yes....."

Dear Rob,
Thanks for your reply.
The cloud icon is working fine and sync shows as activated
But on the left of my catalogs I still can't see the sync option.
I have just updates the Lightroom to see if it works but still can't find the solution. Any ideas?

What do you see if you filter for 'Synced Collections'?
Sorry in my earlier reply I assumed you were asking about the "Cloud menu" that was under the Identity Plate of old LrC versions. I am now aware you are missing the 'Sync' icons.
I also saw this briefly in my catalog, but a restart fixed it.
Have you upgraded to v12.2.1 ? And you could try a Preferences reset (if not sone already). Preferences Reset
