Purchased a subscription via android and trying to login ios

I purchased my subscription via android Google play store and I'm trying to login to my account on my mac.... it's saying I need to start my free trial and I "can't restore my purchase without a purchase" what is happening here? I'm so confused. There's a quite a few threads similar to this but I still can't find a solution.
