Question about downloading Lightroom software on MacBook Pro 2021. (Cloud based not Classic)

I have a cloud account already, I have a new macbook pro that I installed the cloud launcher and installed Lightroom on it, but it seems to just kill all my 16gb of ram if I have anything else open it starts to use swap. I noticed there was a lightroom on the app store. Do you guys know if that's the same adobe lightroom? as in, is it possible that the one on the app store is optimized for m1 chips? or am I just wrong and either are the same?

It's the same version from the App Store.
