Edit In Photoshop From Lightroom

 

Did you know you can make advanced image edits in Photoshop directly from Lightroom? Follow the steps below or watch the video at the end of the article to learn how.

Choose an image in Lightroom to edit

Open your image in Photoshop

  • From the menu bar, select File > Edit in Photoshop
  • You can also right-click on the image and choose Edit in Photoshop from the contextual window.
  • The image will open in Photoshop complete with any edits you made in Lightroom!

Remove distractions with Generative Fill

  • You can make any edits you like in Photoshop but lets try removing some distractions with the new Generative Fill tool.
  • Make a selection of the fence with your preferred selection tool.
  • Click "Generative Fill" on the contextual taskbar that appears.

❹ Don't fence me in

  • With the fence selected click "Generate" to remove it.
  • Repeat the process to remove the tables

Close the image

  • Now simply close the image by choosing "File > Close" from the Menu and choose Save from the dialog box.

Back to Lightroom

  • The edited image is sent back to Lightroom and saved in a stack with the original.
  • That's how easy it is to edit in Photoshop from Lightroom!
