"My Photos" next to the + Add Photos is not showing up Lightroom Desktop

Hello. I am new to LR CC. I am learning about it by studying the Adobe provided videos.

In one of the earliest intro vids, the instructor mentions "My Photos" - and the user being able to access this

through a shoe box looking icon in the  bar menu on the far left of LR's navigation panel.

Is this important to know about, please? If so, how do I get it to appear in my screen. Thank you.

Please go to Help>System Info… and provide us the exact installed version number of your software.
