Hi! I had the basic subscription, and have paid up consistently for years. I took a break from photography for a while, and during that time I guess my storage ran out and a decent number of really important photos were deleted. I've upgraded my storage today, but can't recover the photos through the basic troubleshooting steps I found online. Fairly desperate to see whether there's any way I can get them back.
If the time between your cancellation and your attempt to retrieve the files was greater than one year, it is possible that the files have been purged.
Without more information, it is difficult to be sure.
It looks like your previous plan had a 20 GB provision, which is very small and doesn't hold a huge amount of photos.
Your best option would be to contact support and see what an investigation would reveal.
