Issue:

v2 of Camera Matching profiles for the Ricoh are showing when using Lightroom or Lightroom Classic on the desktop, however they don't appear when using Lightroom mobile.

  • Lightroom Mobile Version Number: 9.2.1
  • Mobile OS Version Number: iOS 17.4.1
  • Lightroom Version Number: 7.2
  • Desktop OS Version Number: Windows 11 23H2

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Select a Ricoh GR IIIx DNG file
  2. Open the edit panel
  3. Select profiles
  4. Browse to the "Camera Matching" profiles

Expected result: v2 of the Camera Matching profiles available (eg. "Positive Film v2", "Camera Vivid v2"...)

Actual result:

  • If image is not using a v2 profile then Profiles without the v2 naming are available (eg. "Positive Film", "Camera Vivid")...
  • If image has been set to use a v2 profile in Lightroom then error displayed "Missing Profile - "Camera Vivid v2" is not available on this device."

Additional Notes:

  • When using Lightroom on the PC the profiles without the v2 naming are available under the "Legacy" profiles section.

Is this an issue with my mobile app not correctly syncing the profiles? Or is it an issue that my desktop has for some reason created v2 profiles?

I've found the .dcp files in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera\Ricoh GR IIIx and after comparing the XML versions the files appear to be different and not duplicates based on checking both Standard & Vivid:

  1. Profile Name is different eg. "Camera Standard" vs. "Camera Standard v2"
  2. ColorMatrix1 & ColorMatrix2 have different values for each row eg.

  <ColorMatrix1 Rows="3" Cols="3">
    <Element Row="2" Col="2">0.650900</Element>
vs
  <ColorMatrix1 Rows="3" Cols="3">
    <Element Row="2" Col="2">0.653200</Element>

  • Copyright is different

<Copyright>Copyright 2022 Adobe Systems, Inc.</Copyright>
vs
<Copyright>Copyright 2024 Adobe, Inc. (www.adobe.com)</Copyright>

This suggests to me for some reason the new v2 profile is not being installed to the mobile version?

So i've finally had others let me know they are having the same issue and the latest Lightroom Mobile Version Number: 9.2.2

doesn't appear to resolve it either.

I have the same issue, v2 profiles for GR IIIx are available on desktop but not on iPad or web

  • macOS: Adobe Lightroom v7.2 from AppStore
  • iPad: Adobe Lightroom for iPad 9.2.2
  • web: whatever is there as of 2024-05-11

Previous version of camera matching profiles (without v2 suffix) are available on iPad and web, and if I select it there, it is synced to desktop and the desktop Lightroom does not complain; so this is a workaround, but it is annoying that I cannot use latest versions everywhere.
