Select background & select subject are unable to detect anything.

I have used select background and select subject several times in the past, however, over the last several months I receive an error that none can be detected.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling hoping that would do the trick, but did not.

Please help.

Hey, @BPI Bonnie. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share the system information from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Does this happen after a series of steps, or have you installed Lightroom for the first time on this machine? This might also be similar to what is being discussed here: https://adobe.ly/3DXgoOP

Thanks!

iI am having the same issues here.  Subjec, Sky and Background masks detect nothing.  The object mask detects nothing.  This was happening with just the sky last week - now none of them work

@ddonger,

Can you share your system information? You can find it by going to help > System Info. Can you copy and paste that into a text file in your response? I have a feeling it may be your GPU, either it may not be powerful enough or the driver just needs to be updated. Read more about GPU's and Lightroom here: https://adobe.ly/4cxE1ub

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

I have had this machine for over a year and Lightroom was always
installed.

I believe this started happening one or two Lightroom updates ago.

I have attached the system info.

Thank you,

Bonnie

@BPI Bonnie - Thanks for your response. I couldn't find the attachments.

Please refer to these recent conversations that suggest this is happening due to the GPU drivers on Windows machines: https://adobe.ly/4ie8gaX;

Head to section four in the content here to troubleshoot the GPU on your machine: https://adobe.ly/3Es2Xqe

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
