Stop Lightroom Desktop from attempting to move photo (locally stored)

I have a large library of over 100k photos in Lightroom CC. All photos are synced and in the cloud. I also have a copy of the originals on an external hard drive.

A few months ago, I (stupidly) moved the folder on my Mac where LR keeps its locally stored copies of some of the library. Now everytime I open the program, a dialogue box says: "moving your photos, analyzing your library". I've been clicking "stop until next launch". There's also a red icon next to most photos showing the location of the local photos is unknown.

What can I do to resolve this? Do I have to let it trudge through the whole library? What if it can't find where the local photos are on my Mac? Is there a way to stop the migration? Thanks for any help.

I did the same thing the other day and can't get it to stop no matter what I do. Sign out/in didn't help either.  The only thing that seems to work is to remove the lrlibary folder to start over on the computer.
