Hi
after update to iOS 17, Lightroom 8.5.1 for iOS is no longer syncing apple photos to my Lightroom account, not automatically nor manually.
am I the only one with this problem?
Thanks
Hi, I think version 9.0 of the iOS app fixed it. thanks!

I can reproduce no issue with importing photos from the iOS 17 camera roll or icloud photos into Lightroom, or syncing those to Lightroom cloud storage.
In your iOS Settings > Lightroom, please ensure Photos has "Full Access"
And in Lightroom app settings, under Import, check that all your Auto Add settings specify the kinds of files you want to import. If you reinstalled the app, this may have been reset.
You might try rebooting the device, and if you are a paid Lightroom subscriber and the app's cloud status shows no sync is pending, then you could even try reinstalling the app. If you are using the free app, do not uninstall -- this will delete files and any edits inside Lightroom; only the subscribed app syncs to Lightroom cloud backup
If you are still facing issues, please let us know.

Thanks for replying.
I am a paid subscriber and I did already try everything you mentioned but that didn't solve it.

Hi, I'm having a similar issue when downloading from my camera. The error message is 'libraries sync error'. I have found Lightroom in the IOS settings and it is set at Full Access. But where would I find Lightroom app settings? I can't find anything that says 'Import' or anything that says auto add settings.
The other issue I have is I can't transfer RAW photos from my Mac into any of the editing software - grateful for any help with that.

Hi Karen,
I am not familiar with that error message. Does it help to sign out of Lightroom, and sign back in? Please be sure to sign into the same account.
Regarding how to get Raw photos from your Mac into the Lightroom Mobile app, try uploading your photos using the Lightroom web app at https://lightroom.adobe.com/ -- it's so easy to drag and drop many images (and also videos) to your account, even to a specific album. I have copied whole SD cards full of media into my LR account this way. As long as you have a valid Lightroom subscription, our Web app will let you sign in and sync with other LR apps.

Hi, as I said , I tried all these approaches but that didn't resolve it.
I am sorry but if I can't sync my iPhone camera roll photos with Lightroom I don't see the point of paying a subscription to Adobe and might as well use iCloud Photos.
As a paying susbscriber isn't there any other option than trying my luck through this forum and hoping someone will have discovered the solution?
Thanks for someone providing me steer.

We definitely are eager to help, but I can't understand how to reproduce the problem you describe. We've been testing on betas of iOS 17 for a while now, and one your same app version 8.5.1 I can reproduce no issues with import or auto-import, and subsequent sync to Lightroom's cloud storage.
Please do go from the Device tab to the Lightroom tab and keep the app open. The app currently won't sync while you are in the Device tab. Is this the issue?
Have you tried re-installing the app? If you have any imports that are pending upload, please let everything finish syncing, and I'd even recommend making a full device backup. Then see if installing the app fresh helps.

Hi,
thanks I tried this multiple times and have meanwhile spoken to Adobe support by phone, where I was eventually told this will be fixed in a future release.

I can do a manual sync but auto import is no longer working.

I know I mentioned this in my very first reply, but please check your auto-import settings. In Lightrroom's in-app settings (tap the 3-dots button at the top right), open the Import options, and confirm you have enables Photos (and perhaps also screenshots and videos if you want those as well):

I understand your frustration.. I don't have any issues but suggest just a little patience as there will be a new Version anytime soon to coincide with Adobe Max. There may be some issues resolved with iOS 17 most likely.. let's hope yours is resolved. Also what is your phone modalel??

Hi I have the same problem since upgrading to Sonoma and IOS 17. I have full access on, rebooted, etc, but nothing new is syncing to lightroom. This is very frustrating and I need it fixed since I am paying for the service,

Please see my screenshot that I just added to this thread. in LR Settings > Import, do you actually have auto add enabled for Photos?
If you search for Lightroom in the iOS app store, there is a new version 9.0 that is now available as an update. Does that app version improve things?
