Dear community members,

I am encountering technical difficulties with the Lightroom app on my gaming laptop, and I am hoping to get some advice on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

To provide some context, I have been using Lightroom for photo editing and management on my laptop for some time now. However, recently I have noticed that the app has started to crash frequently and is not functioning as expected.

I have attempted to resolve the issue by updating the app to the latest version, clearing the app cache and data, and even reinstalling the app altogether. However, none of these methods have proven effective in fixing the issue.

My gaming laptop runs on Windows 10, has an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and a NVIDIA GTX 1070 graphics card. I have ensured that all my drivers are up to date and that my laptop meets the system requirements for running Lightroom.

I suspect that there may be some compatibility issues between Lightroom and my laptop, but I am not certain how to proceed in troubleshooting this. Has anyone else experienced similar issues, and if so, how did you go about resolving them?

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue. Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,
Judy

As a trouble-shooting step, have you tried booting into Safe Mode and running Lightroom in that mode (if it works, then that probably does point to a conflict somewhere in the system, maybe a driver).

Do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running.
