Please give more information. What is 'the app'? Lightroom desktop? Lightroom Classic? Lightroom mobile? Some other app? And what version number is the app? "The latest update" means very little. The latest update of both Lightroom's was two days ago, not weeks ago. Also give your Mac specifications and the version of MacOS.
