Hi guys and girls,

merry christmas first of all.

I have a problem regarding Lightroom.

(Specs: Lightroom 4.1, MacBook Pro 2017, MacOS Mojave 10.14.6)

I have always used Lightroom Classic because the new Lightroom was lacking some features, when it was first released, so I sticked with Classic for a while. I now wanted to use the upcoming christmas days to make the switch to the Lightroom.

I installed Lightroom regularly through the creative cloud panel. When opening Lightroom for the first time, the following message shows up: "A connection to the server must be established. Lightroom needs access to the internet in order to properly initialize. Make sure your system is online." (This the Google translate version as i'm using Lightroom in german. But I think the message is clear.

For those interested, here is the original message in german: " Verbindung zum Server muss hergestellt werden. Lightroom benötigt zugriff auf das Internet, um sich ordnungsgemäß zu initialisieren. Stelle sicher, dass Dein System online ist."

My system is online, I can access the internet an do anything else needing an internet connection.

As of now I have tried the following:

Restarted my MacBook, restarted Lightroom, restarted the Creative Cloud App, delted Lightroom and installed it again, switched to a different WiFi network, used a connection via an Ethernet cable.

All of that to no avail as of now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
