Using Premium Presets causes Lightroom to crash.

Just updated to Lightroom 6.5 two days ago and whenever I try to use one of the Premium Presets from Lightroom like "Enhance Portrait", it causes Lightroom to crash. After opening the program back up, it crashes again after trying to use it on a few more photos. It crashes every 4 or so photos when trying to apply the preset.

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s?

Only a few times, a Microsoft crash report comes up. Most of the time the program either just closes on its own without warning, or stalls and becomes unresponsive and I have to go into task manager and end the task of Lightroom as it shows "not responding". It only every does all this when using the Premium Presets from Lightroom. Never with any of my presets or simple editing.

Have you reviewed the Microsoft Crash logs?

If no Adobe dialog appears, we do not have any information on file regarding the crash. A likely culprit is your Video Card's driver. The Adaptive presest you reference make heavy use of the GPU and the description sounds consistent with a Video Driver crash. Updating your driver is a good first step but without full information regarding your system and your video driver version, it is difficult to offer more advice.
