Weird gray bar on top 1/3 of photos

Hello, I can not figure out how to get rid of this gray bar.  It appears only when viewing or editing a single photoScreen Shot 2021-01-11 at 1.19.21 PM.png

I have seen this reported but cannot find the reference.

Are you using Lightroom v6 with newer Mac OS (Catalina, Big Sur)?

Try pressing keyboard [i] once or twice to toggle the 'Information' off screen. Hopefully this will clear the grey panel.
