Dec 30, 2023 Dec 30, 2023

This is pretty elementary, but I cannot find the Lr app I just bought and downloaded. I spent about an hour on it going through some of the tutorials. Inder my applicsitons tab Mac), I see Lr but it says it cnanot open it. I also see Adobe Creative C;loud (ugh...Adode has way too many product naames floating aorund); that app opens but does not look like the Lr I looked at two days ago.

Can anyone help?  No one is available on chat.

Thanks.

A few comments that may assist an answer-

How did you buy?-  From Adobe? The 'Lightroom Plan (1TB)'  ? The 'Photography Plan (20GB)' ?

How did you "download".? Did you click the (Install) button in the CC Desktop App?

Where do you see Lr (Lightroom)? What does the Error message "cannot open" say exactly?

The Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App is the app that controls your subscription, it lets you INSTALL the apps included in your subscription, and allows you to SIGN-IN (Log in) to 'ACTIVATE' and make your Lr apps usable.

The [Apps] icon in the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App will show you the apps you can [Install] and [Open]-

And what App did you "look at two days ago"? (a screen-clip please_)

Thanks for your helpful reply. As it turns out, I simply did a global search for anything “Adobe” on my computer and deleted it. I started the whole Install process over again and it worked.

Adobe’s chat room support is absolutely worthless.
