What kind of subscription do you have? With Lightroom or Photography subscription you should be able to just install Lightroom app on your iPad and login to your account.
If you are referring to a Lightroom Classic Catalog then you cannot.
You would either need to sync Collections from Classic to the Cloud or if you wanted your whole Catalog, Full Res in the Cloud, then you may want to consider migrating. Although, this is a big step and you would need enough Cloud Storage to cover your Photos.
