(Win11) Lightroom 5.4 Neue Maske erstellen dauert 4 Minuten

Windows 11, Lightroom Version 5.4

Hallo, seit ein paar Wochen dauert das Erstellen einer neuen Maske > Motiv auswählen ein Vielfaches von vorher: Erkennung läuft 100 sec > Wird durchgeführt 130 sec. Total 4 Min., was vorher in 10 sec ablief.

Woran liegt das?

Thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble with Lightroom. If you can clarify a few things for me, we can get to the bottom of this. Have you recently imported a large batch of images? Does the freeze occur on some specific photos or albums? What is the format of the files you are working on? Are they JPEG or RAW? 

Try the following suggestions and let us know if selections work better.

• Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Set it off if it is on Custom or Auto.
• Click on the Cloud icon and pause the sync during your work/edit sessions to stop Lightroom from syncing in the background. Remember to enable sync at the end of the session and let Lightroom finish syncing before you exit the app.

Please update the Graphics driver of your computer from Step 4 on this article:  https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html

Once the drivers are updated, go to the following locations

• C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw
• Rename the GPU folder as 'GPU.old' (add .old at the end)
• Restart Lightroom again

Thank you for your instructions. The fact is that about 3 weeks ago I uploaded 300 holiday photos to Lightroom.

The slow process with the subject mask is with every motif, also with RAW (standard for me) and JPG.

I have now followed your suggestions ("Use Graphics Processor" = OFF and pause Sync) and got no improvement.

I also checked the version of the Intel Graphic Driver. It's up to date.

I wonder why the subject selection in Photoshop runs correctly, but not in Lightroom with the mask.

Hallo zusammen,

seit mehr als einem Monat beschäftigt mich das Problem in Lightroom CC, dass beim Maskieren (Neue Maske erstellen > Motiv auswählen bzw. Himmel auswählen) der Vorgang "Erkennung läuft" und "wird durchgeführt" minutenlang dauert. Dies, nachdem zuvor alles tadellos ablief.

Die Empfehlungen vom ADOBE Support diesbezüglich waren leider nicht zielführend und das Problem wurde vom Support nicht weiter verfolgt.

Kennt jemand dieses Problem ebenfalls und kann vielleicht sogar eine Lösung anbieten?

Mit dem eben erfolgten Update von Lightroom wurde das Problem "Maskieren" in Lightroom gelöst. Meine Anfrage ist somit obsolet geworden.
