Windows desktop not picking up new photos

I have 32 452 pictures in Lightroom. These show up in the Android app and in the Windows desktop application at home. However, on my laptop the desktop app shows that I have around 27 000 pictures and none of the pictures added over the last couple of months show up. I have tried to uninstall all Adobe apps I have, and ran the Adobe Cleanup Utility (with the options of removing everything). Installing Lightroom again from scratch gives the same end result - it shows 27 000 pictures. What do I do?

Thanks for reaching out. If you can clarify a few things for me, we can get to the bottom of this.

Could you please share the version of Adobe Lightroom you are using by going to Help > About Lightroom? Please specify the operating system on the computer where you are noticing the difference in the total number. Does the sync progress stop when you reach 27 thousand images, or does it keep working but not show any new numbers? Have you tried any other troubleshooting steps apart from reinstalling the application?

Are you using all the devices on the same internet network? Have you tried using a different internet connection?
Does your laptop have sufficient free space to allow Adobe Lightroom to save & store images?

 

Please log on to Lightroom Web (https://lightroom.adobe.com) to check current Sync issues on the left part of the screen.

If there are any sync issues, click on them to know more, find the original for those images' original or source location, let them finish syncing, and back them up safely before you empty the Sync issues from Lightroom Web.
