When I click edit in Photoshop it does not load photoshop, it instead tells me Photoshop failed to open. I have the most up to date version of both Lightroom CC and Photoshop installed. I have tried reverting photoshop back to a previous version, same error. I have tried uninstalling both, then reinstalling first photoshop then lightroom and that did not work. I do not have Photoshop Beta installed. Help?

Hey, @defaultoagcqw5mwl8m. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'll help you figure this out.
What exact versions of Lightroom, Photoshop & the operating system are you working on?
Try launching Photoshop first & open images from the Lightroom photos tab on the Homepage in Photoshop.
Try these steps:
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

I have Photoshop version 25.3.1, Lightroom 7.1.2, and am working on Mac OS 12.7.2. I know this OS is outdated, but my computer will not update to the newest OS. I did not have this problem prior to January and was able to open items from lightroom in photoshop in December.
I launched photoshop first and was able to open photos from lightroom but it does not update the photos in lightroom after edits are made in photoshop. Instead it prompts me to save changes as a photoshop document or export photo.
I tried to create a test album in lightroom like you suggested but when I right click on my albums I am not given the option to save the album locally.
