P: Graphical & Image Based Watermarks on images

When outputting any image from Lightroom mobile directly to any service, the image needs to have, at minimum, a © NAME simple watermark placed upon it. I don't think we need full functionality of the Watermark editor in Lightroom desktop but we do need the minimum functionality of the Simple Watermark in Lightroom's Export dialog. Until there is a way to mark an image, why would anyone consider using LR mobile to post anywhere?

NOTE: The original post was a request for a simple, text based watermark which has been implemented. This thread will continue to be the place to vote for image based watermarks.

Edit: 1/21/2020  - This thread has been changed to represent all three of the Lightroom Ecosystem Clients (Desktop, Web, and Mobile)

Edit: 5/15/2020 - This thread has been updated to include information on new functionalities. Please see the official post below.

Are you joking Rick? This thread itself is 3 years old! How much more "weight" can this change give it? Are you implying that no one at Adobe has looked at this in all that time?

As the originator of this request,  and having previously occupied Rick's current position, I can assure you that Adobe is aware of the request. Every vote helps but prioritization of features is a complex process. Without limitless resources, not everything can be done at once and sometimes it takes a long time.

As a full time pro doing a lot of sessions, it would soooo help my workflow for the mobile system to be an expanded system for my client to select and receive full res images once done. Now, because of only being able to like and comment on images, I often wind up with people selecting a large number of them to work on. If they had access to a rating system that they could filter down, it would allow them to make multiple culling passes. It is also easy to miss if they come back later and like more images. Once I edit the images for my clients, I have to use dropbox or a gallery on my website to get the full res images to them. Would be great to simply trigger a full res upload to them through LR.

Hey, Reggie! It may seem like merging posts is simply burying them but it's how feature requests are prioritized. If we don't merge them they don't get counted.

Whether or not they make it into the next update depends on how many other serious issues precede them. The popular stuff usually makes it sooner of later so go ahead and click that little "Vote" box in the upper right of the screen. That's how it works!

Cheers!

Please make this feature available. Where is the consistency (where appropriate) that Adobe has always advocated?

Thanks, must be an iOS update. Android has "Preferences" option, not Settings and ability to add a Copyright, but not to customize. Will keep an eye out for someone with Android to get the update.

This thread is a combination of about 10 other threads.  It has been open for years in some cases.  I personally have had my thread combined at least 5 times over the last 3 years.  So what the original poster asked for is highly irrelevant at this point considering not all OP requests were tracked as threads were joined.

It is a copywite mark not a watermark.  So it shouldn't be closed period.  We combined numerous threads into one and Adobe delivered the bare minimum of what one customer asked for.

Who said it was closed?

A point of correction: A copyright notice can be a watermark.

Can be but isn't in all cases.  It may suffice for some but not all of us.

Maybe you just need to manually check for updates like this:

First click on the three dots...

Does that help?
