When editing a crop, and many selective editing tools, you have to select another editing panel/device to get it to apply. If you jump back to group, or deselect so you can use your mouse to move via the filmstrip or try and use the arrow keys, your crop edit is lost.
Current work around: switch to another edit tool, each switch is half second or more.
Example flow: I work images in batches; so I perform all cropping of one image after another and use the arrow keys to switch images
