Dear Adobe Team,
First, I would like to commend Adobe for continuously improving its products, including Adobe Lightroom. The addition of the ability to import not only traditional presets but also custom profiles (creative profiles) in the desktop version of Lightroom has been a significant step forward. These profiles, especially those built on LUTs, represent the future of color grading, offering far greater flexibility and potential than the classic preset. Moreover, they are crucial for seamless work across both photography and video.
For many years, the mobile version of Lightroom on iOS lacked even basic functionality, such as the direct import of presets. It took a decade, but finally, the ability to import presets directly on iPhone has been introduced—a long-awaited and much-appreciated feature.
However, as the industry evolves and modern presets are increasingly based on profiles, there is an urgent need for the capability to import profiles as well. This functionality is essential for photographers who need to stay current with the latest tools and techniques. It is somewhat disappointing that in 2024, despite the advancements in AI and neural networks in the mobile version, Adobe has yet to implement a feature for importing profiles or even LUTs.
My question is, when will Adobe introduce the ability to import profiles in the mobile version of Lightroom on iOS? This feature is vital for photographers to remain competitive and to work effectively using mobile devices. We sincerely hope that this won't take another decade and that Adobe will prioritize this functionality in the near future.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We are eager to see Adobe continue to lead in innovation and support the needs of photographers worldwide.
