I have LR CC and I want to use Classic at the same time

Good morning, I am currently using LR CC. Locally I have the original files (internal disk) and also smart previews. At the same time, I have a copy of all the originals in the cloud.

I would like to be able to work together with Classic, but if I run it, what it does is download all the originals again from the cloud.

How could I get CC and Classic to work on the same folder of originals on disk and sync changes to the cloud?

If you want to work with Lightroom Classic as well, then you'll have to accept that this is the way that Lightoom Classic works. It will download all cloud images and there is no way to stop that if you want Lightoom Classic to sync. What you can do to avoid having two local copies is disable that option in Lightroom (desktop).

Hello, Johan, then the procedure would be:

  • Delete originals from local disk
  • Open LR Classic and let it sync

The end result is:

  • Local originals managed by LR Classic
  • Previews in LC CC and LC Classic
  • Originals in the cloud

It is right?
