Hi all,

Light room newby!

Using lightroom for mobile on my ipad and iphone.

I am trying to adjust photos of aircraft and to enable me to bring out the detail of the aircraft I have to increase exposure, shadows etc, whilst this makes the subject (aircraft) look great, it washes out the clouds or blue sky in the background completely. I have tried to use selective edits but due to the shape of the plane, it just does not work. Is there a way i can only adjust these settings on the plane without affecting the rest of the photo?

Thanks.

Selective Edits would seem the obvious option. With a similar backlit subject the ‘’Auto’ button produced a pretty good starting point for me. I did further edits from there.
