Download files from Apple Phone

Although I'm sure this has been asked before I can't seem to find the exact question or answer.  Android will allow for a direct connected phone to download dng files to a PC instead of syncing.  Is there any way to accomplish this with an iPhone?  If this feature isn't available in IOS then will it be in the future?

Akash....... thanks so much for the link.  Just a shame that Adobe has such a complex syncing option for IOS.
