LRM doesn’t work offline

Hi!

Is the possibility to use lightroom mobile offline removed?! I have big problems with lightroom mobile when offline, and with albums stored locally (iOS).

1- I found out that in many situations lrm cant start at all in ”flightmode”. It only seems to start when the app have been recently used. Otherwise Its stuck at startup, ”loading photos” with a black screen. When deactivating flight mode in iOS, lightroom starts.. Help please, planning to use lrm on a longer trip without internet connection...

2- When lrm actually starts in flight mode Its REALLY slow. When opening a photo, it first loads the smart preview (much slower than over both wifi and mobile data), then it loads the original file even slower. This makes no sense to me. Isnt the point that the files should be there all the time? If ”leaving” an edit (switching photo) or close-reopen lrm, you must wait for all these slow steps once again. This also drains a LOT of battery. Ive tried this on different iPhones with same results

I just had the same problem this morning while on a plane. Great photo opp but lrm was stuck on ‘loading photos’ not allowing access to the lrm camera. Everything back to normal once I got a good cell signal.

Still same problem here.. This really needs to be fixed!! Guess right now lightroom mobile is impossible to use at all without an internet connection. This makes the app totally unusable in many situations. When traveling, when having bad reception and I guess it will be really expensive in places with high data charges

Did you tried to press the three dots on the right side of each album and turning on store locally?

Yes, on a few of them, but it isnt the problem. The problem is lightroom cannot start without internet access if you havent used the app for a while

I believe that like another photo loading issue, Adobe know this is a bug.

Let’s hope it will be fixed in the the next update.
