Selective editing tools greyed out / disabled

I have a valid CC account, all apps updated to the latest versions.

I downloaded v4.0 of the LR CC mobile android app and the light functions work but the selective editing tools are greyed out.

How can I enable them? There is no valid discussion addressing this issue in the forums.

I have the same problem on my Note9. Just can't get it to work. I updated, I signed in and out several times, no idea what else is possible.

I spoke to customer support via chat and they were did not no what was causing the issue at all. I think it's technical. I received and email requesting me to reply to this thread, but Adobe have not commented. I will wait patiently for a fix.
