Auto add from camera roll - in raw format

I have been importing my photos into LR by using the Canon Connect software that wirelessly connects my Ipad to my Canon 5D MarkIV.  It then goes into my IPad's camera roll.  Since LR is on my Ipad and is set to auto import my camera roll, my photos then appear on LR.

However, I shoot in RAW and the photos get imported in JPG format - anyway to change that?

Thanks for getting back to my inquiry.  I had the same thought and I had thought that I had to change settings in Canon Connect but I saw none. So I contacted Canon Support and they informed me that Canon Connect converts to JPG to transfer photos to camera role in Ipad.  Canon told me that I need to transfer for photos via a cable to the my computer to maintain the RAW format.

I don't know Canon Connect but does it store the images actually in raw format on the camera roll or does it out copies there and keep the raws in it's own storage? If they are in raw on the camera roll, Lightroom should import the raw files for sure.
