Can Original Photos be Backed Up

Hi - I'm hoping to switch my mobile photography from Apple Photos to LRCC and want to be able to backup my originals to an external disk.

Currently with Apple Photos on my Mac, all the photos I take on my phone get downloaded into the Photos app. From there, I can export any photos I've taken in original format and back them up to to an external drive.

Is something like this possible with LRCC?

Thanks!

Yes, you can either set up Lightroom CC to automatically download all originals to a backup location you can specify in Lightroom's preferences or you can manually export images as originals and back those up.
