Can't Import Photos with Usb (from Canon camera) to Lightroom

I have been having trouble importing photos to lightroom from my canon 7d markii. I have been using a usb 3 cable to transfer photos for years and now it won't let me at all. I've had trouble before but it always worked after a couple tries of a computer restart. Despretly need help going to India in the next couple days and need this to work. Thanks

Lightweight USB cables and/or connectors wear out... try a different cable
