My old Mac died, I got a new Macbook Pro and moved my Lightroom files over and reinstalled Lightroom. I mostly use Lightroom Classic, I only have a few folders of images in the cloud. But today I wanted to sync some new folders to the cloud and opened Lightroom CC. I was met with "Cloned catalog detected".

The explanation I found online starts with saying "backup originals". That will be a little difficult given I have 7 Tb of originals.

Not sure what to do?

I think that is a general warning. If you have already transferred all your files to the new computer you effectively have done the backup. I would simply quit LRCC then go to Pictures and delete Lightroom Library.lrlibrary

Re-launch LRCC and wait for the completion of sync with the cloud.
