Hi all,

I have an iMac 2017 with a Retina 5K 27inch screen. 8GB RAM and a a 4,2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 processor. I'm running the latest Catalina (10.15.7).

I'm a professional photographer and am working in Adobe Lightroom Classic CC every day.

Recently, I think since the first Catalina upgrade, my iMac freezes while running Lightroom.

Suddenly, while working in Lightroom, the iMac completely freezes. Then the fans start blowing louder and after a few minutes it just restarts.

This happened occassionaly every few days the last past months. Since the newest Lightroom 10 upgrade (which I guess is heavier than the previous one) it happens every 10 minutes. It's just impossible to work anymore...

Does anyone know what would be the problem here? Is this a hardware issue and should I have my iMac fixed? Or is this software related - Apple or Adobe?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
