Import in LR fails

Dear,

I use LR 5.7.1. Everything seems to work normal, but when I click the "import" button, program shuts down automatically.

What goes wrong?

How long have you been using Lightroom 5.7.1? What operating system are you using? What camera model are you using? Is this phenomenon something that just started happening? Have you ever been able to import images? How much free disk space is on your hard drive where you are attempting to import? How much RAM does your computer have? The more details you can provide, the more likely it is we will be able to provide assistance.
