Is it possible to exclude tags from a search in Lightroom?

Hi all. I have been looking for a way to search with a NOT: operator and my fear is this isn't possible based on how little I'm finding on it. For instance, I'd like to search for all photos that have a rating ≤3 that do not have the tag '[work]' etc.

I've been finding all photos that are rated ≤3, giving them a tag like '3+ except work', then viewing photos that have both that tag and the tag 'work', and then deleting '3+ except work' from those photos. But, of course, ideally would love a more simple way. Any ideas?

Thanks all!

Unfortunately the "NOT" search isn't possible yet in Lightroom. It's been requested for a long time now, but it still hasn't appeared. I think the workaround that you're using is about as good as it gets.
