I am not sure where to direct this question. I am pretty much committed to utilizing Lightroom Classic CC on my computer. BUT, I do synchronize Collections with Adobe's web-based Lightroom as well as Adobe Portfolio. I find myself frequently launching my browser, going to Adobe and clicking on the Lightroom web-based app. I also share albums with the web-based app from LR Classic CC running on my computer. Here is my question: If I load Lightroom CC on my computer will it be just like I was logged into the web-based Lightroom app? I would do this only if it allows me to avoiding having to log into Adobe website and going to web based Lightroom.

Yes, almost the same. It does allow you to do more adjustments (eg brush / grad / radial) and work more efficiently, copying edits from one image to another.

I'd liken it more to Lightroom iOS or Android, in that to some extent you can work while offline, downloading content to the hard drive. But its search and filtering depend on being connected to the internet.
