Lightoom didn't save my edits

I was working on a photo over the space of a about 3 hours, on and off due to doing other stuff around the house, when I tried to export the photo, lightroom crashed and when I opened it up again all the edits were gone.

I went into the photo versions and checked the auto saves and it only saved the first startup then 6 minutes later and then the next save was hours later after it crashed and I can't track down the edits so I assume they are lost?

I am missing something? Im new to the CC version of lightroom but is there really no way to manually save to avoid relying on autosave which obviously doesnt work properly?
