Hi, I'm using Lightroom 6 and always change the Camera Calibration to my camera, a Pentax K1, at the start of my workflow. I don't know why, but it is now stuck on 'embedded', I know this happens with JPEGs but my files are DNG.Also, it's not just my newer imports, but all of the files going back years.

I think the issue arose following a recent camera RAW update.

How do I get my camera profiles back?

Thanks

Lightroom 6 cannot be updated with a camera raw plug-in. That technology is part of the Lightroom program. The camera raw plug-in is for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. I don't know if updating for either one of those programs would have affected Lightroom 6 or not.

Thanks for the reply.

After some more research, I've found that the Pentax K1 no longer has camera profiles in lightroom 6.

I've looked here - c:\program\adobe\adobe lightroom\resources\cameraprofiles\camera\ and there is no longer a Pentax K1 profile directory. There are still profiles for the Pentax K-7, K10D,K20D and K200D but the K1 has been removed.

This is something that has happened recently as I've always had the option previously.

What's going on?

Camera profiles are shared between Lightroom and Camera Raw, so an update of Camera Raw could remove a profile. It's strange that Adobe would do that, however. Why would they? I checked on my Mac and an Adobe camera profile for the Pentax K-1 is still present on my computer.
