Lightroom cannot properly launch because Adobe Sign-in window will not properly appear

I'm a photography student and have been using Lightroom on my PC for a long time now with no issues but all of a sudden, whenever I launch Lightroom (or any other creative cloud app), the program launches in the background while the Adobe account sign in window briefly pops up and displays the spiral loading symbol before disappearing. The sign in window will keep disappearing and reappearing seemingly infinitely and the application cant be used until it succesfully logs into my account which doesn't seem like it is going to happen. 

Any help you could provide would be great because I need to get Lightroom running ASAP for my classes which have already begun.
