The red areas that you see in that image are areas that are overexposed in tthe white area and are clipped. The red is the clipping indicator that is built into Lightroom. There is also a blue clipping indicatoor to indicate shadows that are being clipped. These indicators can be turned off by pressing the J key. Alternatively, you can click on the little squares In the upper corners of the histogram to activate/deactivate the indicators individually.
