lightroom doesn't detect my fuji xt3 in tethering mode.

Hello all.  All of a sudden, lightroom classic doesn't detect my fuji xt-3 in tethering mode.  It used to work just fine.  I tried many things: the cable is not the issue, i closed and restarted the camera and computer, i have the latest version of the firmware on the camera and i even upgraded to Catalina on my Mac.  If you have any helpful cues about this it would be appreciated. Thank you!

I suggest reposting in the Lightroom Classic discussion.  There are two discussions, one for Lightroom and one for Lightroom Classic. Perhaps someone will have a suggestion there.
