I use the new Lightroom. I am not sure what happened and when it happened, but all the images in lightroom now only show a lowrez preview image. Why?
The only thing I can think be a reason is that I deleted the images on the cloud, as I saw no reason for them to be there anymore. But that should not affect sync to my local files?

Hi there,
Could you please let us know where did you sync those images from?
Also, what version of Lightroom and the operating system are you working on?
If you synced those images from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom, then deleting the images from the cloud might have affected the previews in Lightroom.
Regards,
Sahil

Thanks for the reply.
I work on an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
I use the new Lightroom, not classic, and I continually update it. Many of my images was synced to the cc cloud storage. But I decided to remove them from the cloud, since I really have noe use for them there, and Lightroom constantly reminded me I needed to upgrade my cloud storage.
Again, I do not know if this is what caused the problem. I only see now that a lot of my more recent images now only show a low resolution image when I open and work on it in Lightroom. On the Info-tab I get the message that local sync status is pending. See attached image.
The local files are still in the folders. Stored on an external hard drive.
