lightroom not picking up capture dates

I spent hours allowing lightroom to import pictures after a windows crash.  I originally used elements to organize but thought I would start over.  It is frustrating that it doesnt recognize "date taken" in the files properties.  It is mixing old pics with new pics and shows "capture date" as the date I migrated the pics in to my new computer.  When I look at the pic via explorer, the "date taken" is correct and is still available.  Am I missing something or does lightroom not have the capability?  I will turn in my trial for sure.

Hi there,

The date taken in the image propery could be different if they were taken in a different time zone. t's easy to batch adjust capture time by the hour for time zone support using the batch adjust. See https://helpx.adobe.com/in/lightroom-classic/help/metadata-basics-actions.html#change_the_photo_capt...

Thanks,

Akash
