I am wondering if there is a way to download lighroom desktop version on your ipad. I like the lightroom on the ipad but theirs featurs on the desktop version I find myself missing.

Lightroom for the iPad is the only version you can use on that device.

If you could do that, why would Adobe create an iPad version at all?
