Lightroom sync between CC & Classic

Hi all,

I was using Lightroom earlier but new in Lightroom CC. I am having issue syncing pictures from Lightroom CC to Classic. Maybe i am not understanding how it works in general. will appreciate any help.

I have Lightroom in my Iphone. It automatically syncs pictures in Lightroom CC. that is working fine. I would also like these new pictures synced in my Lightroom Classic. How is this possible? In my Lightroom Classic I am logged into my CC account? does it sync only to specific catalogue?

this should be posted in either the LR Classic forum or the Cloud Centric Lightroom forum (I know it is hard to find the proper forum as the main list is in Popular sort order instead of Alphabetical sort order).

Yes for LR Classic it only synces from ONE catalog on ONE computer and you have to Enable Syncing from the Identity Plate drop down in LR Classic.

But what might get downloaded is ALL of the images you have uploaded to the Web system in its Full Format (SIZE) which might overwhelm your internet connection and your computers hard drive.

Simple fact is both versions of LR were never ment to be used on the same computer and never ment to talk to each other. And in fact they do not talk to each other except over the internet from the LR Web system

Really, I thought Adobe were trying to present Lightroom as part of an "eco-system". Not much of an eco-system at all. Seems like an exercise in frustration, as you find out ALL the things you CAN'T do. And to find out on this forum, that these "differences" are by implemented. by "design" and not technological restraints, makes me very cynical and disappointed in Adobe as a company, and the increasing belief  that they are failing to support professional photographers.

You’ve posted to a very old thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same issue which you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information including system information, a complete description of the problem and step-by-step instructions for reproduction. 

In the unlikely event the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location.
