Lightroom unable to connect to internet - macOS

I have a mac , only 2 months old, but since purchsing I have been unable to effectively use lighroom. I also have a macbook air and light room works with no issue. 

 

I keep getting the 'unale to conect to internet' come upwith the X throuh the cloud. what can i do? what does this mean?

Hi there,

We're sorry to hear that Lightroom is showing internet connection error, did the Opertaing System or Firewall software update recently?

Did you install Catalina recently? It sounds like you may have a security issue blocking access.

Please review your security setting at the OS and Internet Access level.
