Spherical panorama creation hangs

Hello all,

I'm trying out the new Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, coming from Lightroom 6. One of the features that is critical for me is the stitching of spherical panoramas. Lightroom 6 is decent, but often creates a visible seam or other smaller mistakes, and I hope that the latest Lightroom is better. Unfortunately, Lightroom CC seems to hang after a while. At first, it uses 100% CPU as expected, but then it reduces to 18% CPU and a few minutes later it's down to no CPU usage at all.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a solution?

I'm stitching 26 DNG files shot by a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone.

Hi Sybren,

That isn't a great user experience as Lightroom Classic hangs while stitching panoramas , we're sorry to hear about this. Let us help make it right. Which version of Lightroom Classic are you using? To verify the version you're using : Choose Help > System Info.

Let's start with troubleshooting the GPU usage in Lightroom. Could you please uncheck the option "use graphics processor" under Preferences> Performance menu and let us know if that helps?

For more info and further troubleshooting refer Adobe Lightroom GPU Troubleshooting and FAQ

Thanks,

Akash

I have unticked "use graphics processor", but it didn't change anything in the behaviour. The merging process just stops mid-way.

I'm also not sure why you want me to look into GPU troubleshooting.

It may be worth also posting all of the details here:

Lightroom Desktop | Photoshop Family Customer Community

Adobe engineers monitor that thread and although you can get staff help on here, this is mainly a user to user forum.
