toolbar disappears

Hi - Newbie here. Both the toolbar on top and the photo bar at the bottom disapear, but when the mouse is held on top it comes back. I know this is a feature but how do I change it back so they show all the time?

Hi there,

Would you mind sharing the version of Lightroom you are using along with the operating system you are using? Please share a screenshot of the application interface so that we can check what is happening.

If you are using Lightroom Classic, please click on the little arrow at the top of the screen and that should keep the top bar locked. You would see a similar arrow on the bottom bar of the screen.
